Non-US Resident? Here’s an Online Shopping Solution..

ShoppingI love shopping, what woman doesn’t? Men could call it an obsession but I prefer calling it theraphy. The best part about shopping is the searching for the “best find”. I used to go to malls, window shop for hours but lately I have been so busy and besides gas prices are soaring high so trips to the mall are now being limited for the time being.

Late last year I discover another shopping avenue – online shopping. I’ve actually found some great buys online, mostly clothes, accessories and cosmetics. My online shopping experience though is limited to local retailers only. I know I’ve been surfing online shopping site with US retailers but there are several things that make shopping from these retailers difficult.

Shipping rates are sky high. Most of these retailers accept major credit cards so that is not a problem but another concern is that if you enter a billing address that is not located in the US, more often than not, you will not be able to process your transaction. It is just now that I discovered that there is actually a way around that hurdle. Get a reliable package and mail forwarding company like MyUS.com website to process your transactions for you.

One option is for you to use MyUS’s Florida headquarters as your secondary billing address so you can do away with the Address Verification problems. Second option is for them to act as a personal shopper for you. They accept major credit cards (with foreign address and non-US bank issued) and they also take wire transfers. If you are so addicted to shopping now, you can take advantage of the third option which is to have a credit card from a US bank issued, using MyUS’s address.

They also offer consolidation services – professional repackaging of two or more boxes into fewer boxes therefore saving you on shipping costs. Plus full 24/7 tracking services in their secured website.

This is definitely going to make online shopping a fuller experience for Non-US residents. Lol! When I told my husband about this, he had this horrified expression on his face… He’s probably scared I’ll empty out the bank accounts. :)

Another great option in the states is a company called Bongo International. They seem to have much better customer service with live chat on their site and they have better rates…especially in heavier shipments. Bongo’s website is http://www.BongoUS.com if you want to compare services…
