I was reading Guardian Angel’s post on how he promoted his blogs when Entrecard was down and I agree with him that Entrecard is not the only way to promote our blogs. I love entrecard and dropping EC’s is something I enjoy but I would admit it is nice to have some respite from dropping daily. I only drop more than a hundred for this blog and for my other blog, I just drop at least fifty a day and I have to admit that at times it could be a chore :) .

So what did I do when Entrecard was down? I visited blogs I have in my blogroll. Checked out my BlogCatalog and MyBloglog accounts and communities, joined neighborhoods, blog hopped, joined discussions and more blog hopping. This blogging social networks have helped me a lot in networking, additional traffic and what I really appreciate are the discussions where you can actually pick some great tips on blogging.

While I has doing my blog rounds I chanced upon a Turnip of Power’s post on Bumpzee and it piqued my interest so I decided to give it a try. Bumpzee is a social networking site where you can add up your blogs, add friends, create your own or join communities with similar interests as yours.

What makes it different from Blogcatalog? Your posts will be indexed and featured in each community you join so that would be an additional exposure whereas in Mybloglog or Blogcatalog your posts will just be featured in your own page. This network is still at its infancy or they are simply not attracting much members since I saw a lot of communities with not so much discussions and its obvious their numbers are not as big as BlogCatalog. Anyway its worth a try and the opportunity to network with bloggers with similar interest is a great advantage.

I noticed though that even if you have already inserted their widget code and its already working on your blog I still get this error – There is not enough data available. This member might have not yet installed the tracking widget. Screenshots also take time to update though the latest blog entries are working fine.

I’ve created two communities – Exclusively Asia, for all Asian bloggers and Pinay Bloggers, for all Filipina Bloggers. Just click on the links and join my communities.
