Two weeks ago, on our usual Saturday-early-morning-Phnom-Penh-ride-around, we stopped in front of the Royal Palace near the riverfront so Chinks can feed the pigeons. The small park in front of the palace is usually full of pigeons early in the morning and late afternoons. My daughter has taken to going there and feeding them..
The kids were having a blast feeding and running after the pigeons when a man in a weird get up with matching boots came around and dropped a long stainless pipe on the road. The loud ‘clunk’ from the steel pipe must have scared the pigeons and they all went flying away. He definitely got disgusted looks from the folks strolling on the park so he hurriedly walked away. That upset Chinks but I also got this nice photo of the pigeons flying away against the rising sun and of the Royal Palace..

Somebody told me that the pigeons are becoming a problem. Kase daw dumadami ng dumadami. I don’t know exactly how it is a problem. Baka dahil nagiging madumi yung place because of the birds’ poop? Hehehe!
Pigeons can be a problem if there is to much of them.
kuracha J. yung roof nung palace puno na ng poop hihi. pero in fairness dun sa park wala masyadong dumi yung pigeons. type lang talaga nila sa palace magpoop. O di ba napakasushyal!
