A few weeks ago we went to Kep and Kampot Province and Hi-ace took us on a side trip to Kampong Trach and Wat Kirisan. This is a small town right before Kep and accessible via National Highway 33. This is a dusty little town and very sleepy looking but the Wat Kirisan is interesting. It’s built right in the midst Phnom Sor, a rock mountain. The formations and the caverns are interesting although the onslaught of ‘guides’ is a test of patience for everyone.
