This is weird. From what I could recall, October here in Phnom Penh is starting to be cool and dry not raining like mad. I feel like its almost July again with the rain pouring almost non stop since yesterday. It’s just so hassle!! Phnom Penh doesn’t have an extensive public transport system {ie. trains, public utility buses} around the city, most go by with private cars and motorbikes. Those who need to take public transpo will have to get by with motodups {moto taxis}, tuk-tuks or the limited number of call-pick up taxis.

Anyway, I feel like ranting and I just have no one to rant to lol! Yesterday, I was a bit put off coz Chinks and I went to Sovanna Mall to meet Ouwe for coffee and for Chinks to have a little playground time. Since we had some free time, we had a leisurely walk around the mall, then had early dinner. We decided to go home around 5:30 pm and when we were about to walk out the mall exit, it was just teeming with people. Coz it was raining heavily! And all around the mall, there was traffic jam with lots and lots of cars making the beeline for the mall parking area.

With no tuk-tuks in sight we waited till around 6:30 pm and got home all drenched. And I thought all will be well today, but arghh, I was wrong. Since 7 am it has been raining non stop. It’s like the the heavens were all conspiring against me!!! {I know that sounded egocentric but please do humor me this time coz I’m in a bad mood}. I had to go to Chinkee’s school coz she left her lunch box and name badges at home and I had to brave the rains to do that! Thankfully, my sister Ouwie has her raincoats in hand always. But then again, I still got drenched, that I decided to just walk in the rain when I got back and take a rain shower.

Now the rain still has no signs of abating and I seriously wanna scream already. I heard most places in Phnom Penh is already flooded and my MIL called me awhile ago and told me their house is all flooded. Thankfully, our place is okay, though going out is a different story.

I wonder till when this ‘annoying’ weather will be? Phnom Penh gets flooded easily and if this won’t stop, I’m seriously getting scared.

Oh rain, rain go away…
