I wondered what to give myself this Christmas and also what to work for the New Year. I just love this time of the year, I make it a point to take stock of what I have done the past year, things I want to improve, things I did that makes me wanna give myself a pat in the back, and goals I want to aim for.
What do I want to give myself this time? A healthier and fit body. Yes. Seriously. Three going four years already, my body weight has not been in a good state. I was beginning to think I had begun to be complacent about it. I reasoned since I’m actually finding it difficult to lose weight so why bother?
But I want to be healthy and one thing I’m really scared of is developing some disease, so I want to take care of my self. Having in the right weight is all part and parcel of being healthy. The inner fashionista in me also screams for me to get back in shape. Lol! And my thrifty streak also says so. I actually still have lots of nice clothes stuck at the back of the closet from my ‘thin’ days and just waiting for me hehe..
So, I’m slowly getting back into shape. I started doing regular light exercises. I jump rope regularly. Lol! Which brings to mind what one of my best friend’s asked me a few days ago, ‘Do you jump rope like Manny Pacquiao?’ Hahaha, no I can’t do that! I’d probably deserve sports trophies if I do that. I jump rope with moderate intensity, just enough for my heart rate to pick up.
A month or so ago, I also added some weights to my exercise routine. I dearly wish for the wiggly bits to go, you know. And now, I’m actually on the fourth day of South Beach Diet Phase I. After trying out different kinds of diets, I think I found the one I could work with. This one doesn’t advocate you to starve more like you choosing to eat more of the good things. The only thing I’m having a hard time with is not being able to drink coffee the way I used to..
But hopefully, this would all work out. Fighting!












Go, go, go! For the same reason din that I want to lose weight – to be healthy. And also for the 11-11-11 campaign! hihihihi. I think this is attainable if we set our minds on the goal. Kaya hayan, pagdating ng Wiiiiii – karirin na ang pagpapa-payat!
Let’s do it, Lui! And I want to make it a lifestyle too. I think we deserve a healthy body, a sexy body. Hihihi.
