We’re had a really happy Saturday. We didn’t really do anything special but if you ask me, the whole day has been pretty special anyway. This is how our usual Saturday goes since we had been living in Phnom Penh. It’s my bonding time with Chinks, more so now that it’s just the two of us till December.
Started the day early, fixed a light breakfast for us. Then I did the laundry, did a bit of cleaning the house, changed curtains. Then prepared lunch. I made some spring rolls, pork and seaweed soup and we had ripe papaya for dessert. We ate a lot, that’s for sure, so hmm, I need to stop wondering why people suggest I search for the best diet pills. But that’s totally fine with me. Lol!
Afternoon, we watched a movie – Kungfu Panda, then had a short nap. Then I had to do some bills paying and after that we ended up in the mall coz she was asking to play. Had a quick early dinner @ Master Grill, a short hop to the supermarket. Now were getting ready to watch our second movie, her pick – Nancy Drew Mystery with Emma Roberts.
On a side note, I think Chinks is becoming a serious food critic. While we were in Master Grill, she ordered the Chicken Nuggets Kiddie Meal which includes 3 pc nuggets, french fries, sweet corn, a cup of soda and a free toy.
I asked her how was her food. She looked at me seriously and moved her head from side to side and said, “Oh, the nuggets were good, the sweet corn I don’t want to eat, the Coke is in a nice cup, but the fries! the fries….I don’t like it, it tastes like plastic.”
