I did mention several posts ago that I intend to lose weight this year. A year after I gave birth to my daughter I was already back to my old shape and weight, but then hubby and I decided not to have another child yet and we have opted for the Norplant hormone implants as our birth control choice and I had it for five years.
My doctor warned me that these method works 99% of the time, however like other methods, it has its side effects. Since its hormonal, it could affect mood swings and migraines especially if you’re prone to PMS, some lose weight while others who use it gain weight.
Unfortunately for me, the side effect I got was weight gain. I am also guilty of compounding that effect. Though I am not a heavy eater and our diet is one that is balanced but I failed to add exercise to the mix. I had a pretty much sedentary lifestyle for the past three years. I was also working on my home-based fashion jewelry business where I usually spend a big chunk of my time sitting and working. Not much exercise in there so I was burning really so little calories.
Before long, I just realized I gained an extra thirty pounds. Once I realized this, I went crazy going after one fad diet after another. I wanted to lose weight fast. At one point last year, I felt desperate enough to search for diet pill reviews and I did try out two products. It worked for sometime, then I would just gain back the weight I lost.
Since late last year I have made the decision to lose weight the healthy way. I don’t want to be thin but I want to have the ideal weight for my body frame and height. I’ve started to do exercise even if its just to jog in place or dance to some fast music for 20 minutes daily, I’ve taken up biking at least several time a week and I’m picking the right kinds of foods. Just as I’ve expected, progress is slow at this time, but I’m in no hurry. For now I’m starting to reap the benefits of good exercise and healthy diet, I feel less stressed, happier, more energized and for someone who often gets flu viruses – I haven’t gotten sick for the past three months!

I started this diet about 2 months ago. I took off 6 lbs.the first 2 weeks, I havent lost a pound since. I dont know what I am doing wrong, I haven’t cheated, I follow every thing thru,I exercise, but I still haven’t lost anymore weight. I would just like to lose another 5 lbs. I am getting very frustrated and am thinking of going on the weight watchers diet. If there is anyone out there that thinks that they can give me some pointers I would appreciate an email.
