It has been raining a lot here since Friday so I wasn’t left much to do. Well, I did my laundry but you wouldn’t be interested in that
.
Last Sunday, I watched a lot of TV and I watched “Sisid” (Dive) on GMA 7, a local channel here. It’s a documentary featuring the Philippines marine ecological environment and wonders, it also discussed issues concerning our marine environment.
The program was very informative and wish I could see more programs like this on local TV. The first feature was Tubbataha Reef, which is nominated as The New Seven Wonders of Nature. The poll for the New Seven Wonders of Nature is still ongoing, so keep your votes coming.
Not all of us are divers and would not have the opportunity in a lifetime to visit these places so it was a great piece to watch. I love the show’s focus not only on the beautiful things to see but also on problems concerning marine life, particularly garbage and pollution.
The program also featured a new underwater adventure you can now experience in Boracay, reef walking. Now I am so interested to try that out. Sisid took me to different diving destinations, Guimaras, Anilao, Cebu, Manila Bay and I was particularly impressed with the feature on Turtle Islands where they actually caught turtles mating
.
A good friend was also raving about a GMA 7 documentary – SIGNOS (Fatal Signs). My friend was really impressed with the documentary and made her kids watch it and they ended up being educated on proper waste disposal, use of electricity and saving water. I am just so sorry I wasn’t able to watch the initial telecast a few weeks ago. But it will be aired again on QTV 11 on May 24, 2008 9pm. Signos is about the growing threat of climate change and our environment and the changes we are now experiencing in the Philippines.
Moving on, I have David Cook on my title. I’ve posted about David Cook a couple of times (here, here and here) and yesterday when I was checking my stats and one of the popular searches leading to this site was DAVID COOK’S WIFE. Hahaha isn’t it funny!
On Entrecard, since I’m homebound this weekend, Entrecard was my best friend. I was dropping like mad. I’m also liking the changes they have like the multiple blogs. Now that is something I can really appreciate. I have four blogs with entrecard accounts. That saves me the hassle of logging in and out, plus sharing credits will be much easier now. Kudos to Entrecard Team!

I also watched Sisid last Sunday night. The Tubbataha Reef is soo beautiful and it should be one of the 7 wonders indeed. Reef Walking is great especially for those who don’t know how to swim like me, hehe..Will beg hubby to try this the next time we visit Boracay.
