For sometime now I’ve been mulling over getting an online education. There are a lot of online universities around and another option is to enroll in an open university. There are several reasons why I’ve been seriously considering getting an online education.
- It is convenient and flexible. Getting online education from an accredited institution like Nouveau University or other online universities is a really a big help for a busy mom like me. I still want to be able to take care of my kid and my husband, manage my websites, and I would also like to have a day-time job when we are already in Phnom Penh. All of this activities requires me to be home and online education looks like the best option for a time-pressed person like me.
- It costs relatively less than regular universities. Some online educational institution charge by credit hour and allow students to take a small number of courses hence paying a lesser amount. Nouveau University in particular offers affordable and competitively priced tuition fees and charges by credit hour.
- Online universities also offers diverse options in terms of course and certificate choices. Meeting other people (though only online) from diverse backgrounds and experiences contributes a lot also in developing a more dynamic world view.
Before I make a decision of course I have to consider that the my hard-earned money as well as my time won’t be wasted. I want to make sure that the online course I will choose is of top quality, have the necessary accreditation and would of course suit my needs and goals. A big factor would also be the professionals behind that online university, of course I would have great confidence in an institution who has known experts in their fields as their faculty like Dr. Laura Palmer Noone currently the CEO of Nouveau University and former President of University of Phoenix, the largest private university in the world.
I’ve been doing a lot of readings as I am really wary about the presence of a big number of bogus online universities and I wanted to know how to avoid them. Most advice against “universities” with no physical address but only has a toll-free number as means to contact them. Payments are also directed to education services provider. Documents you recieve are from other countries other than where the “university” is. Universities offering degrees in lieu of life experiences are also best avoided.

Due to the many benefits that an online education offers im thinking on the same lines too.
Hope it works out for you.
and thanks for this post i never realized that there ARE many people who consider and do it!
